Volunteering

Join the Sea of Red!

Being able to support from behind, make sure the program is supported and loved. That’s what I cherish about volunteering for Band.
— Junior and Freshman Band Mom
Cooking is our love language. Knowing that we are literally feeding the success of the program, it warms our hearts.
— 8th year band Family
I’m there on the sideline, helping to make magic happen. The work we put in is nothing compared to the work these kids put in for a great show.

We love our Volunteers - Thank you for your support!

The Liberty Band Program relies heavily on volunteer participation. Maintaining a high caliber band program requires a great deal of fundraising and volunteer support from our families. Our band directors, staff, and our talented hard-working students need the help of every family.

That’s why we need every family to commit to volunteering at least one time every season. Please volunteer more than one time if you are able! We can’t do what we do without every family participating - props aren’t going to push themselves! Our community of parents is amazing. Volunteering is a great way to make friends with other parents and connect!

D20 Volunteer Form

In order to volunteer in a position that has direct contact with students (which is most positions), you will need to fill out the District 20 Volunteer Form. This form is very simple and shouldn’t take you more than 15 minutes! Once you’re cleared, you are approved to volunteer in District 20 for the next three years.

We encourage all parents to complete this application process even if you don’t think you’ll need it. You never know when we might need you to perform a task that requires this clearance. Summer is a great time to get this done!
